Food Day Canada takes place every year on the Saturday of the August long weekend.  It’s a wonderful time of the year to enjoy so much locally grown fresh produce.  Canadian culinary icon Anita Stewart has been the driving force behind the annual recognition of our bounty since 2003. Now, another local food supporter is pushing to have the date moved to the weekend before Thanksgiving, and made official in legislation.  Read more ….
