I became acquainted with University of Guelph political studies Arpana Chakravarty when, as a volunteer reporter for The Ontarion, she attended last year's CanACT etiquette dinner and wrote a story for the student newspaper. Later, she came to work as a SPARK writer, and enrolled in my third-year agricultural communications course. And although I knew she was a fan of dancing, given the performance of her Blitz Dance Crew at this year's United Way University Idol event, I didn't know she was so committed to Bollywood until I opened up today's Guelph Mercury newspaper. Owen Roberts is a faculty member in the Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communications program at the University of Illinois. As an agricultural journalist, he is the past president of the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists and a lifetime achievement award recipient from the Canadian Farm Writers' Federation. His programs and research papers have been recognized nationally and internationally through awards from the Journal of Applied Communications, the National Agri-Marketing Association, the Association for Communications Excellence, and others.
