Despite our hunger for local food, Ontario is a net importer of beef. But the Beef Farmers of Ontario are looking to replace those imports with their own provincially raised meat. They’ve been listening to consumers who say they want what they call “attributes” such as grass-fed, organic, raised without added hormones, antibiotic-free, and “ultra-local.”
