Food Day Canada took place August 4, but the time to celebrate and support Canada’s food industry remains as compelling as ever.  Canada’s leading food advocate and University of Guelph Food Laureate, Anita Stewart, initiated the day 15 years ago to draw attention to homegrown foods and Canadian chefs.  Now, in this era of growing trade wars, many Canadians are making a special effort to buy Canadian – including food products – as their way of supporting our industries.
