Big boost from Ottawa for young speakers’ program

Friday afternoon from the national 4-H annual conference in PEI came an announcement that Ottawa was giving $3 million-plus to the Canadian 4-H Council. That’s great news for 4-H, as well as for the Canadian Young Speakers for Agriculture (CYSA) program, which will likewise benefit from this support. More news on the 4-H-CYSA partnership will be released in the coming weeks.

And congratulations to PEI native and new 4-H Canada council president Judy Shaw of Guelph. Judy, government affairs director for Syngenta Crop Protection Canada, is a longtime supporter of agricultural education, communications and leadership.  4-H Canada is in good hands.
